Our Watch Repair and Restoration Service includes repairs and restoration of most makes of watches, from your great grandfather’s antique pocket watch to the latest quartz models.

The following is the process we normally use when restoring and reconditioning a mechanical pocket watch.

Remove the movement from the case;

Carefully examine the movement for excessive wear and other potential problems;

Disassemble the movement;

Clean the movement completely, including an ultrasonic bath;

Examine all pivots, bearings, jewels, balance and main spring for wear or damage;

Reassemble and lubricate the movement, where required;

Clean and polish case, if requested;

Regulate the movement for proper timekeeping;

The cost to return your antique or vintage pocket watch back into proper working order is determined on an individual basis. Once your pocket watch is received in our repair centre, we will examine it and assess the extent of repairs required. We will then provide you with a free written estimate. No work will be done until we receive your authorization.

Please be aware that some problems are extremely difficult to detect until the watch has been completely disassembled. We make every effort to ensure our estimates are accurate, occasionally, we find additional problems during the repair process that were not detected during our initial assessment. If this happens, we will advise you of the additional costs for any additional repairs we deem necessary to fully restore your pocket watch. We will not proceed without your authorization to do so.

All work is done by highly skilled professionals and carries a one year guarantee. Shipping and insurance are not included in the estimate of cost.

All watches are placed into our schedule as they are received. Our turnaround time ranges from 5 to 8 wks, depending upon the degree of difficulty involved, speed of parts searches and our work backlog. We will make every effort to return your watch to you in a timely manner, however please understand that some repairs take longer than others.
